Smart Love Parenting Center has unique and highly effective approaches to help
parents understand their children at each stage and how best to guide them
through childhood. We offer courses and workshop series tailored to parents
needs at various stages of parenthood.

SHORT COURSE IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT (OAK BROOK)

This course offers an understanding of child development based on the latest
child development research. Parents will learn about the Smart Love approach to
parenting and how to apply it at home. A loving and compassionate approach
to parenting, Smart Love will enhance your relationship with yor child and your own
enjoyment in parenting. The topics covered will include important concepts about
human nature, the goal of parenting, key child development milestones, how to
foster your child’s self-esteem, how to manage children’s immature
and even out of control behavior. The Smart Love approach was
developed by Drs. Martha and William Pieper and is described in their book
SMART LOVE. The Piepers also write the popular monthly column in
“Chicago Parent” magazine.
