Many teenagers are exploring and evaluating what is next for them after high school. For many, this will include determining what colleges to apply to and where to enroll. BREAKING NEWS: How Families Can Cope With Traumatic News In The Media And In Their Communities
This webinar provides an overview of how traumatic news, such as hearing about COVID, violence, and terrorism, can affect you and your children and teens. We share how to best help everyone cope in the family while emphasizing:
• How parents can have supportive conservations with their children, help them share their feelings, and learn healthy ways to cope
• How families can acknowledge and address painful realities of racism and racial injustices
• How parents can lovingly regulate access to online media to help protect their child or teen from traumatic information
• The value of parents getting support with their own feelings and reactions to traumatic events
Another Pandemic School Year
After a year of hybrid, remote, in-person, or some combination of all three learning environments, children and parents alike may be experiencing some anxiety about the return to school this year. Some children did okay while some others struggled. There are still many unanswered questions when it comes to school and the pandemic, but many parents are wondering how do they best support their children through another year of uncertainty?
