Collecting Little Treasures!

Invite your child to see what objects they can find around the house that are small enough to fit within the muffin tin or ice cube tray sections.

Once all the sections have been filled or no more objects can be found the small objects can then be sorted.

The small objects can be sorted by color, number, shape, size, theme, texture, etc.

To further expand, a chart can be drawn out and you can count how many small objects there are of each category - for example, "we have 3 red objects!" Some children like to draw the objects on the chart, trace around them and/or they write the number down.

Enjoy! And remember, no pressure - have fun with it and tap into what makes it fun for your family!

I wonder...

I wonder statements are a great way to introduce concepts to children, stimulate their curiosity while modeling the pleasure of learning, and embrace ideas in a fun and unpressured way!

I wonder how many red, orange, blue objects you found?
I wonder how many soft, hard objects you found?
I wonder how many objects can roll?
