Carolyn Stolper Friedman, M.A.
President and Executive Director
Ms. Carolyn Friedman received her MA in Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison .She has over 25 years of experience in leadership positions with non-profit organizations in the human services, the arts and international relations with expertise in capital expansion projects. She founded Smart Love Family Services in 2002. She is also co-author of Successful Fundraising for Arts and Cultural Organizations (Oryx Press), a management book for the non-profit field.
Resource and Program Development Director
Mr. Bill Cosper joined Smart Love in 2017 to lead fundraising and program development for Smart Love. After earning his BA in history and political science at Wabash College, he has served more than two decades in leadership positions in development and communications for Chicago-area nonprofits in the education, civic engagement, cultural and social services sectors.
Bookkeeper and Office Manager
Mr. Carlos Escobar has a BS in Accounting from Robert Morris College, Roosevelt University. He has worked in the accounting and finance field for over 18 years. Since 2007 he has served as treasurer for a 100% volunteer non-profit “Children of Pure Heart”, which serves the poorest children with meals, early education and health services in the outskirts of Duran, Ecuador.
Ms. Amber Guenther has a BA in Marketing and German from Western Michigan University. She worked in market research for nearly 10 years before deciding to leave work and stay at home to raise her daughter. She was introduced to the Smart Love philosophy and approach when her daughter attended the Smart Love Preschool. She is passionate about sharing the positive effects of Smart Love and the difference it makes in families' lives.
