Kindergarten
Preparing for the Next Step–Collaboration & Creativity
Ages 5 - 6 Years
In our Kindergarten program, children thrive in a collaborative, play-based environment that bridges the gap between preschool and elementary school. This is a time of incredible growth, where children develop foundational skills across academic, social, and emotional domains. Our unique program structure includes a mixed-aged morning session and a dedicated five and six-year-old afternoon, which helps children build relationships, practice leadership, and transition smoothly into an all-day learning environment. This thoughtful approach ensures that children feel supported as they adapt to longer, more structured days.
Aligned with the Illinois Early Learning Kindergarten Standards, our curriculum integrates meaningful, hands-on activities that inspire curiosity and a love of learning. Teachers play an active role in guiding exploration, encouraging children to discover questions like, why, what, when, and how. This reflective process nurtures creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking, all while helping children make meaningful connections between play and learning.
Throughout the year, children are encouraged to think critically, collaborate with peers, and express their ideas confidently. Teachers foster an environment of full engagement and curiosity, where every idea is valued and every question is explored.
By the end of Kindergarten, children have not only mastered key academic skills, but also developed a strong sense of self, others, and a passion for discovery. This foundation prepares them for future success in school and beyond.
