Assessments & Evaluations

Psycho-Educational evaluations and testing offer information regarding general intellect, memory, learning style, academic skills, attention/concentration, language, executive functioning (organization, problem-solving, and planning), visual-spatial abilities, and sensory motor functions.

Conditions Assessed

Evaluations are an important first step in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and the psycho-educational report offers valuable insights for discussions with schools. We provide evaluations for children ages 3 years and older, adolescents, and adults. These evaluations and tests can also assess the following conditions:

Emotional Disorders
Learning Disabilities
- ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Language Processing Disorder, etc.
Cognitive Disorders
Dementia
Developmental Delays

About the Testing Process

Testing is a non-invasive process that consists of an interview and standardized, written test conducted by a Doctor of Psychology. The testing process usually takes four to six hours and is completed over the course of one or two appointments. Once the testing is complete, the testing clinician reviews his/her recommendations and provides a written report containing valuable information that cannot be gathered by MRIs or other scans.

How It's Used

The information gathered during testing can be used to:

Determine neuropsychological/cognitive deficits that interfere with school or work performance
Identify cognitive strengths, abilities and learning style to enhance academic success
Assist with school accommodations for your child
Make recommendations regarding social and learning environments for your child

Billing & Insurance

Before scheduling, we will obtain your health insurance coverage and explain your financial responsibility. We will also bill some out-of-network insurances plans. We also accept self-pay at the time of service.
