Parent Engagement & Support Program
For Parents of Children in Child & Adolescent Therapy
Welcome to Smart Love Family Services. We are glad that you have turned to us to help your child. Bringing your child to therapy may be a new experience for you as parents or caregivers and we understand that you may have a lot of questions. We have created this Parent Engagement & Support Program to provide support to parents as their child begins therapy and as a continual resource for when parents have questions.
There are four components of the orientation process to help parents better understand our services and to find support through their child's therapy:
-
Understanding Child and Adolescent Therapy videos: Prior to your child starting therapy, please watch these eight short videos below answering frequently asked questions.
-
Attend a Parenting Session: Please schedule a 45-minute Parent Orientation Session to receive an overview of our child therapy approach and provide you a chance to ask targeted questions about your child and their presenting concerns. Most Parent Orientation sessions are covered by insurance. If that is not the case, we will work with you!
-
Monthly Q&A Seminars with Ms. Ilinka Novakovic, LCSW: We offer a virtual Q&A seminar each month to provide parents the opportunity to get specific questions answered in real time about our approach. Parents can attend as many as they like. Please register below for this FREE seminar.
